Hi Daniel, I hear that the old nibs and new nibs on these are quite different, how old is this pen? Thanks!

Hi Luke, that is a very good question ... I bought this pen at the London Pen Show and have little information about it; I'm also unsure how to date these nibs. This being said, this pen isn't one of the vintage 88s, so I'd reason it's probably one of the newer nibs?

I'd say it writes with the characteristic pencil-like feedback.. I hope I'm not contradicting myself here!

I'll update this listing when I get a chance with a few more pictures of the nib, if this will be of help?

Thanks Daniel, that is helpful. Yes a picture of the nib close up would be great. How would you say this compares to other feedbacky nibs like say Sailor or Platinum?

I've uploaded an image of the nib!

As for how it compares, it's been a while since I've inked it up, but I'd say the Aurora has a touch more tooth/bite to it than Sailor/Platinum nibs.

Certainly not in an unpleasant way, but I'd say my fine Japanese-feedbacky nibs offer a bit more smoothness than this Aurora (though itself not an un-smooth nib, if this makes sense)
