Hi, I'm Ben.

I'm 30 years old and live in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, with my two dogs: Stanley, an 8-month-old English Bulldog, and Willow, an 11-year-old West Highland Terrier.

I've been using fountain pens since university—over 11 years now—but it wasn't until 2020 that I really fell down the rabbit hole and became a true enthusiast. While I love technology, nothing beats putting pen to paper. Writing with a fountain pen helps me slow down, organise my thoughts, and process information in a way that no screen ever can.

When it comes to nibs, I'm an extra-fine and fine kind of person at heart. That said, I'm keen to broaden my horizons and explore custom grinds and flex nibs. I recently streamlined my collection, but I still own around 25 fountain pens, with a strong preference for Japanese pens, alongside a few beautiful Italian additions.

I'm also a big fan of darker ink colours, particularly purples, greens, greys, browns, and oranges.

I'm hoping to start selling fountain pen ink samples very soon. With around 100 full bottles in my collection, there'll be plenty of interesting inks to choose from—so stay tuned!
