Description:
Birmingham Ink Co, based in Pittsburgh, USA are a family owned and run small manufacturer making hand-turned pens and beautiful, smoky dusky inks. I think there is a link with the Nemosine pen company as their pens are offered with a choice of Nemosine and Knox nibs. This pen has a Nemosine 0.8mm stub - an unusual stock size - and has Nemosine's distinctive butterfly decoration.
The Sixth Avenue model is similar in shape to the Model A but bigger and with flatter ends. This pen is handmade from premium acrylic in a brown called Secretariat. Pens are released in small batches of 20 or 30 or so as and when they're made and finishes change from time to time so catching a particular option means watching out for emails but they're all beautiful materials. The acrylic does have a slight odour which fades after some time.
This is a clipless pen.
Filling system: cartridge converter included.
