Sailor Pro Gear Slim (14k fude nib)

A white Sailor Pro Gear slim with a 14k F nib that has been reground to a fude. If you've used a Sailor steel fude nib, this one is stiffer and has the distinctive feedback of Sailor gold nibs.

Fude nibs are designed to mimic the line variation of brushes when writing Chinese characters. For western writing, you don't get line variation. Rather, you get different line widths depending on the angle at which you hold the pen--broader lines when held at an angle and thinner lines when held more upright. This nib also writes a smooth ultra fine line on reverse.
