Sailor Koshu Inden (MF)

This is a heavy brass pen covered in deer skin, sporting a 14k gold nib. It's the same 14k nib as on the Pro Gear Slim or 1911 Standard, but the feedback feels dampened here under the weight of the pen, making for a rather different writing experience.

Koshu Inden is a style of leather craft unique to the city of Kofu in Yamanashi prefecture. Urushi lacquer is applied on top of deer skin. Like most Japanese crafts, it's at risk of dying out. Really cool of Sailor to spotlight it on a pen.

The leather is impossible to clean so please take care not to get ink on it.
