Platinum #3776 Century Bourgogne 14k SF nib

Description:
This is a classic cigar shaped pen in translucent deep red resin with gold trim and a 14K gold Soft Fine (SF) nib.

This is one of the more interesting stock nibs available and it does give a different writing experience that is hard to describe. It is very tactile and as it's fine, it can feel scratchy - especially with drier inks but at the same time it has a little bounce. It is not a flex nib but a little gentle pressure gives a small amount of line variation - but please don't push this nib as you will damage it - and it is not the nib for you if you have a very heavy hand.

According to Platinum, this nib and feed is the same as that used in the Nakaya Urushi pens and it has the inner 'Slip and Seal' cap to prevent it drying out in your drawer or pen case.

The #3776 name comes from the height in metres of Mt.Fuji, the highest and most beautiful peak in Japan.

This was my first pen try-out. A beautfil pen and Cathy kindly filled it with a Diamine ink which contrasted nicely. The nib is very fine, amd has quite a lot of feedback, I thought. Lovely weight, and great to write with. Thanks again.

Also, the superfine nib was perfection.
