This is a classic cigar shaped pen in translucent deep red resin with gold trim and a 14K gold Soft Fine (SF) nib.
This is one of the more interesting stock nibs available and it does give a different writing experience that is hard to describe. It is very tactile and as it's fine, it can feel scratchy - especially with drier inks but at the same time it has a little bounce. It is not a flex nib but a little gentle pressure gives a small amount of line variation - but please don't push this nib as you will damage it - and it is not the nib for you if you have a very heavy hand.
According to Platinum, this nib and feed is the same as that used in the Nakaya Urushi pens and it has the inner 'Slip and Seal' cap to prevent it drying out in your drawer or pen case.
The #3776 name comes from the height in metres of Mt.Fuji, the highest and most beautiful peak in Japan.
Cap: screw fit.
This is not a big pen. Weight 20.5g, 140mm long closed, 120mm open, 155mm posted. 15.4mm max. barrel diameter.
Excellent - well used but no scratches or chips or dents. Posting is fine.
Shipping cost is for UK only. Not available to hire outside the UK.
This pen comes in it's own pen box with outer cardboard sleeve. Please return it in the same box.
Please treat this nib with care as it is soft and easily damaged.
Choice of ink:
I have a wide range of inks and these are all listed on my profile, please choose which you'd like to try. NOTE: this SF nib can write dry with drier inks. If you'd rather receive the pens empty, that's fine too - just let me know.
